In 1962, three inmates, brothers John and Clarence Anglin and Frank Morris did the unthinkable and escaped Alcatraz, the world’s most famous maximum security prison, a desolate rock in the middle of the shark-infested San Francisco Bay. After the escape, the men vanished into thin air and the FBI spent almost forty years chasing leads that went nowhere. In 1979, the FBI  concluded that the men must have drowned and closed the case…but that’s where this story begins.  Join us with our co-hosts Ken Widner, the nephew of the Anglin brothers, and Mike Lynch as they unravel the theories and reveal new information that could prove the Anglin brothers pulled off the biggest escape in history making their way to South America where they re-built their lives.
